    Scheduling Coordinator

    Classification FSLA - Non-Exempt - hourly

    Salary Grade/Level/Range Experience, Certification, within company pay structure.

    Reports to: Manager - Infusion Manager

    Summary/Objective

    Responsible for coordinating infusion patients schedules for our Farmington Hills and satellite offices. Scheduler for infusion appointments and any necessary follow up care per specific infusion medication protocols

    Work Environment This job operates in a medical office facility. This role routinely uses standard medical equipment. Ability to adapt to unforeseen events and go with the flow while maintaining a helpful positive attitude. The ability to assist patients providing reassurance and reducing anxiety and fear.

    Essential Functions

    Polite, sensitive to people, compassionate, ethical conduct, enunciation, communication. Proficiencies in reading, writing, active listening skills and good speaking voice

    Excellent phone etiquette with good communication and listening skills, compassion and understanding to treat the patient in a kind and professional manner.

    Must be flexible with the ability to multitask.

    Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.

    Answers telephone calls for the infusion center department, prioritizes, screens and redirects calls as needed.

    Answers basic infusion appointment related questions as able or redirects to the infusion nurses to discuss.

    Schedules and reschedules all appointments within Greenway system.

    Call and confirm upcoming patient appointments.

    Works closely with the infusion center team to oversee daily and weekly scheduled patients to maximize available appointments.

    Works respectfully and efficiently with all departments within MIND to meet department and company goals and objectives.

    Provides excellent customer service during all in person and telephone conversations.

    Maintain HIPPA compliance regarding patient information, testing, prescriptions, medical information, and documentation.

    Help perform other clinical or administrative office tasks as needed.

    Knowledge of specific infusion treatment policies and protocols.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position working days. Due to the nature of the work this position is not eligible for tele-commuting.

    Travel none expected

    Required Education and Experience A minimum of 1 year of medical office work experience or Call Center Experience preferred.

    Strong telephone and communication skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and OUTLOOK.

    Detail Oriented

    Ability to foster teamwork, inter-personal awareness, and initiative

    Knowledge of basic medical terminology

    Reliable work ethic
