    The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety.

    Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy.

    Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
    Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
    Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record.
    Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans.
    Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable.
    Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
    Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
    Demonstrates quality, safe and effective patient care.
    Provides delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff
    Demonstrates standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork and integrity.
    Demonstrates understanding and executes quality and performance improvement plans. (Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
    Education Bachelor Degree
    Nursing Diploma
    Nursing - Within 36 months of hire, if not already obtained
    Nursing
    Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university
