The Sports Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the business development, planning, scheduling, execution, oversight, and stellar guest experience within sports programming and events.
The Coordinator will work closely with the General Manager, Business Development and Events Director, and Sports Director on all tasks to help generate revenue at the Iron Peak Sports & Events venue.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Lead generation for sporting events and programming including, but not limited to tournaments, leagues, classes, clinics, camps, club sports, external event rentals, and private lessonsAccomplishes objectives and weekly KPIs by contacting potential customers through phone calls, emails, etc.
and developing a strategy to reach budget targetsServe as Manager-On-Duty ("MOD") during programming and events, ensuring their smooth operation and customer satisfactionAssists Sports Director in the creation, fine-tuning, and delivery of curriculumAssists in the oversight, management, and training of the part-time coaching staff, as well as the part-time events and guest services team membersConducts competitive analyses and research within program and event developmentResolve guest concerns and complaints, and act on feedbackParticipation in planning/strategic meetingsWork with finance department to track and report on programs and eventsVarious other duties as required by the General Manager, Business Development and Events Director, and Sports DirectorMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, or related field1-2 years appropriate experience requiredExcellent interpersonal, problem solving, customer service, and negotiating skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist highWill be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time Will be required to conduct venue tours to prospective clientsOffice environment has intermittent noise, normal in naturePosition will generally navigate a Fri-Tues schedule (Wed/Thurs off as needed)
