Job description
The Contextual Ministry Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing administrative support to both Contextual Ministry and Multicultural Ministries, and Reparations departments. This position is responsible for fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests, students, faculty and staff while ensuring the smooth coordination of departmental operations and services. Hours of operations Monday - Friday (When the Seminary is open) 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Contextual Ministry Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Director of CXM (ex. compose correspondence, maintain departmental calendars, assist with CXM budget, board reports, serve as TA for all CXM courses)
- Maintain electronic records, complete electronic bank reconciliation for departmental credit card
- Coordinate and make arrangements for the orientation and placement process for all students taking CXM
- Coordinate and make arrangements for the orientations for CXM supervisors, lay support team conveners, colloquy facilitators, and student orientations.
- Assist Director, seminarians, CXM supervisors, and lay support team conveners in all aspects of CXM
- Assist Director in facilitating supervisor sessions/meeting as needed
- Coordinate and make arrangements for Celebrating our CXM Journey Service and Dinner in April, CXM ministry site fair in August, and CXM Interview Day
- Maintain complete/up-to-date records of CXM sites, supervisors, and lay support teams
- Maintain and update CXM webpage and keep all forms up to date
- Maintain all Brightspace classes for Director of CXM and keep all forms up to date
- Create a welcome and hospitable environment in the CXM department, either in person, by telephone, zoom, or through written contact
- Other duties as assigned
Multicultural Ministries and Reparation Responsibilities:
- Provide Administrative support to The Associate Dean of Multicultural Ministries and the Director of Reparations (ex. compose correspondence, maintain database, payments, programming, scheduling, etc.)
- Maintain electronic records, complete electronic bank reconciliation for departmental credit card
- Maintain complete/up-to-date records of descendants
- Create a welcome and hospitable environment either in person, by telephone, zoom, or through written contact
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Religious Studies
- Administrative & Organizational skills
- Event and program coordination
- Technical Skills (Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Zoom , Shared Point, One Drive etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to details and compliance with procedures
- Understands educational or ministry-based program structures
