Job: Under general supervision, this role entails handling psychiatric technical tasks of moderate complexity, along with performing associated duties as necessary. This position serves as the primary operational level within the Psychiatric Technician sub-series. Responsibilities may involve direct patient care within psychiatric hospital units, encompassing tasks like assisting with daily living activities, delivering personalized and group instruction, and providing supervised medical aid.

Responsibilities: Furthermore, individuals in this role might also undertake duties:

• Act unit coordinators or admissions clerks.
• Involve tasks such as inputting and managing patient records in databases.
• procurement of medical and office supplies
• Guiding patients through admission processes
• Conducting vital sign assessments
• Gathering pertinent patient information upon admission.
• Additionally, clerical, or patient care responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Over the age of 18
• Patient care technicians have a physically demanding job, so they must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
• They must also meet the requirements to enter the training program at their school of choice.
