Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

JCW is working on an exciting search for a Staff Systems Engineer for a global medical device company out of Andover, MA.

This role would be 3 days onsite.
The ideal candidate will be coming from a medical device regulated background with strong hardware and firmware systems knowledge. This role will be mentoring team members and requires supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:
Play an essential role in Risk Analysis and Risk Management.
Develop and execute formal and informal test protocols. Use finding to drive decision-making and iterate on the design
Utilize modelling tools to simulate and analyze systems, subsystems and data
Provide technical expertise to the Systems Engineering Team and cross-functional project teams to support development and submission objectives
Participate in Design and Technical Reviews to ensure sound decision making is made across the program

Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related technical degree is required.

Graduate degree in these fields are preferred.

8 years of experience in engineering/technical field, at least 5 of which must be focused on complex system level work, with a significant focus on medical devices.

Strong experience with relevant medical device standards, including IEC 62304 and IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA Guidance for Design Controls, EU MDR, CE.
