Mechanical and Plumbing/Sprinkler Engineer M/P/SP

Requirements/Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited university degree in Engineering

• Minimum of Working knowledge of plans, prints and specifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of design experience with working knowledge of mechanical, sprinkler and plumbing building systems (plans, prints, specifications)

• Working experience with engineering programs, including AutoCAD MEP, Carrier HAP, HASS, and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication, people/customer skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and recommendations

• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness

Responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations using Carrier HAP Program

• Perform plumbing and sprinkler piping calculations

• Develop detailed design mechanical, sprinkler and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD MEP software

• Review of engineering submittals

• Post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings
• Perform field survey
