Benefits Administrator
We are the Metropolitan Council, regional government for 7-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. We plan 30 years ahead for our region's future and provide transportation, wastewater, and housing services.
We support a diverse workforce reflecting communities we serve.Human Resources works with all divisions to provide proactive solutions in recruitment, hiring labor relations benefits training organizational development occupational health wellness. Benefits Department currently has two vacancies for Benefits Administrator.
The role involves managing tasks associated with employee benefit plans according active terminated retired employees of Metropolitan Council policies contracts bargaining unit agreements federal/state regulations laws. Ensures accurate processing status changes union changes new hire benefit enrollments provides guidance active inactive employees medical dental flexible spending life insurance LTD deferred compensation programs retiree benefits COBRA continuation coordinates collection benefits premiums employees leave absence.
This position is eligible hybrid telework arrangement both remote onsite candidate permanent residence Minnesota Wisconsin posting creates six-month eligibility list current future openings.
