Job summary

The City of Bellingham Municipal Court Judges preside over criminal misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases in accordance with established legal procedures as prescribed by Washington State law; impose appropriate sentences and penalties as prescribed by law;
Conduct arraignments, pre-trial hearings.
Belligham municipal court judge may be appointed presiding judge during certain periods.
  • Preside over criminal traffic civil matters within the jurisdiction of the Court.
