12 hr Nights 1 -We have a modified self-scheduling but allow people to block schedule as best as we can.
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule minimum. Some like to work all weekends and others don't like to work them at all. Respiratory Therapist in unit 24/- Support staff on unit: Patient Care Technician, Health Unit SecretaryMost common:
pneumonia, vents, post caths, EVAR, surgeries, ETOH/OD, ARDS, DKA, CVA after tPA, afib RVR, sepsis, renal failure - IABP (skill not required), a lines, hypothermia protocol-Common Drips -Amiodorone, Cardizem, Levophed, Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Vecuronium, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, Heparin (weight based), Norepinepherine - The number of vents vary monthly; ETOH is sedated - House Supervisor (called Administrative Shift Coordinator ASC) in house 24/7
