    Position Description:

    Job Purpose and Scope:

    Responsible for continuous management and evaluation of the Corporate & Institutional Banking ("CIB") portfolio management, underwriting, operations, compliance, and adherence to policy and procedures. This position assists in the formation, development, and on-going training of the Bank's formal Credit Analyst Training Program.

    Essential Job Functions:

  • Partners with leadership for planning and execution of strong oversight of the Corporate and Institutional Banking Portfolio Management and Operations team.
  • Reports, as requested, on the lending program and compares business forecast to the Loan Portfolio.
  • Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely servicing of the loan portfolio in compliance with Bank's Loan Policy including, but not limited to, monitoring, and directing various managers within Corporate and Institutional Banking regarding potential exposure, operational risks, or servicing issues.
  • monitoring risk within the loan portfolio to ensure potential challenges are identified well in advance and communicated to borrowers and upper management so that timely resolutions result in mitigation of Bank's risk.
  • Ensures underwriting is thorough, accurate, and incorporates detailed risk analysis mitigation that aligns with the Bank's credit risk appetite.
  • Develops the Bank's Credit Analyst Training Program and associated educational tools and rotational programs therein.
  • Assists in the management, drafting, and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates across business lines and communicates pertinent information/changes to leadership.
  • Acts as a secondary point of contact for internal audits and Bank exams focused on Corporate and Institutional Banking.
  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance and credit analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lending activities and terminology.
  • Knowledge of federal and state lending and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership presence and credibility.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and business development skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across functional and organizational groups and build business relationships to achieve the desired objectives of the Bank.

    Position Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or job-related field, required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in Commercial and/or Corporate Banking, required.
  • Successful completion of a formal credit training program, preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous management experience, preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience in developing a Credit Analyst Training Program, preferred.
