    Description

    At Concentra, you will be a vital member of our patient care team and play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

    Our mission is to improve the health of America's workforce, one patient at a time. The Paramedic will administer first-aid treatment and life support care to sick or injured persons in a pre-hospital setting.

    Paramedic is responsible for developing and maintaining programs of preventative physical care for employees, providing wellness training and performing health screenings.

    Administer prescribed first-aid treatment at site of emergency, or in specially equipped vehicle, performing such activities as application of splints, administration of oxygen or intravenous injections, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of artificial resuscitation and recommends treatment or referrals of the injured employee to a medical facility

    • Act as liaison between employee/employer and Concentra Onsite Medical Center to arrange physical evaluations and coordinate and conduct post-injury rehabilitation for employees
    • Provide physical conditioning and wellness training to the employees
    • Conduct CPR/First Aid/Blood borne Pathogens Training
    • Determine nature and extent of illness or injury, or magnitude of catastrophe, to establish first aid procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance, basing decisions on statements of persons involved, examination of victim or victims, and knowledge of emergency medical practice
    • Assist treatment center admitting personnel to obtain and record information related to victims' vital statistics and circumstances of emergency
    Current CPR and First Aid certifications

    • Experience to include participating in various administrative educational or medical support services
    Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions

    • The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies

    • Knowledge of clinical procedures and all processes involved in the delivery of a comprehensive medical program for employees
    • Medical knowledge of techniques and information needed to treat human injuries coupled with the ability to apply that knowledge to administer first aid/emergency care
    • Knowledge of anatomy, biology and human behavior and performance
    • Customer and personal service knowledge including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
    • Skilled at the operation and control of medical support equipment or systems
