    Position Description:

    Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and selecting exceptional talent across all divisions of our employee-owned company. This position is instrumental in building and maintaining a diverse talent pipeline for SCIPI, with a strategic focus on cultural fit and succession planning to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of our rapidly growing organization. This position will be open until filled with an initial candidate review date of April 29th.

    Essential Functions:

    Recruiting and Selection Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs.
    • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies.
    • Utilize various channels for candidate outreach.
    • Continuously network to build and sustain a talent pipeline for timely hiring.
    • Conduct thorough candidate assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements.
    • Assist with DOT pre-employment compliance.
    • Support onboarding and HRIS maintenance.

    Candidate Engagement:

    • Provide positive recruitment experiences throughout entire recruitment cycle and candidate experience.
    • Coordinate interviews and assessments.
    • Maintain effective communication with candidates.
    • Build and nurture talent relationships.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Actively network to develop and maintain relationships with community members and organizations.
    • Champion diversity and inclusion in recruitment.
    • Analyze recruitment data for improvement opportunities.
    • Contribute to marketing and branding efforts.
    • Provide HR generalist support when needed and as directed by CHRO.
    • Assist in policy development and implementation.
    • Attend HR meetings and training sessions.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Support HR and organization-wide events and activities.

    Required Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven prior experience in talent acquisition.
    • Experience managing the full recruitment cycle from job posting to offer negotiation.
    • Familiarity with various sourcing strategies including social media, job boards, and networking.
    • Ability to collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment and selection strategies.
    • Driver's license with good clean driving record.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related field.
    • 2-3 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
    • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and HRIS platforms.
    • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
    • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
    • Experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
    • Familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment.
    • Experience in workforce planning and talent pipelining.
