- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Understanding of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, commissions, bonuses, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state (including multi-state payroll) and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
- Act as liaison with Paychex for payroll management and troubleshooting.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Recommend policy and procedure changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Performs other payroll or accounting duties as needed to support the team.
- 4+ years of payroll experience. Experience with other accounting functions is a plus.
- Must have multi-state payroll experience.
- Must have experience working with Paychex.
- Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP systems. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and expertise in managing confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent relationship-building skills.
