- Produce research, policy and capacity building products that are high quality and are disseminated and communicated through multiple media including: project reports, briefing papers, policy white papers, toolkits, posters and oral presentations, and peer-reviewed research articles to drive effective policy and systems change.·
- Work collaboratively with senior staff to develop and implement a portfolio of impactful projects in your area of expertise, seeking external funding to support this work and ensuring that resources are effectively deployed, and projects are adaptively managed to achieve maximum impact.
- Represent GHPC at external meetings, locally and nationally, and contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of productive relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the University.

Experience collaborating with diverse partner groups, and strong writing and communication skills are important.
- Candidates must have experience in health services research, health policy, or related field; preference will be given to those who have research and capacity-building experience in the public health field or in health policy applications. Research and service experience in such areas as long-term care, community benefit, health reform, program/policy evaluation (particularly developmental evaluation), and action research would be especially valuable. Demonstrated knowledge of the U.S. health care, public health, and social service systems and collaborating with stakeholder groups is preferred. Executive leadership, project management, and strategic priority execution preferred. Experience working in a public health institute.

The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, community health systems development, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and well-being.

ABOUT THE POSITION The director will bring strategic experience and best practices to foster organizational growth and development aligned with the Georgia Health Policy Center's mission, vision, and goals. The ideal candidate must have expertise in public policy/health policy analysis, including evaluation of health programs, health services, and/or public health programs. The candidate should also have experience working within a participatory research environment allowing them to secure extramural funding to build upon the ongoing research in the GHPC. This position will have responsibilities that include contributing to ongoing research and capacity building projects, as well as maintaining a portfolio of externally funded research, mentoring, and participating in service activities within the school, the institution, and the community. This position is a member of the GHPC Executive Team, providing strategic oversight and management for GHPC.

HOW TO APPLY
The salary for this position will range from $150,000 to $170,000. The position is sponsor-funded and is contingent upon funding.
