    Job DescriptionSalary: $26/Hr - $28/Hr

    TGG Accounting is sourcing for a hybrid ~ four (4) days remote and one (1) in-office accountant/payroll specialist. If you have no payroll experience but possess an accounting background or have a high level of attention to detail and would like to have a career in payroll this could be the role for you

    This position is responsible for preparing the company payroll and allocating expenses to the general ledger. Additionally, the role will verify employment, process involuntary deductions, and perform all duties related to the timekeeping system.

    Responsibilities include:

    Processes and audit payrolls;

    Checks and audits timekeeping records for compliance;

    Posts changes in tax status, payroll deductions, and miscellaneous changes;

    Processes requests for manual checks and process terminations

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Must reside in San Diego County (no exceptions)

    Associate Degree in Accounting, or related field, preferred

    Two (2) or more years of multi-state experience in payroll is preferred but not required

    2 years of experience with Excel (Basic online Excel assessment is required)
