    Comprehensive Compensation Package:
    • Annual Starting Salary $36,200
    • Employer Paid Health Benefits $3,600
    • Vacation Leave Accrued Annually $1,060
    • Sick Leave Accrued Annually $1,060
    • Total Annual Starting Salary and Benefit Package $44,920

    Essential Job Functions:

    As a Texas Works Advisor I (TWA I) / Medical Eligibility Specialist I (MES I) / Hospital Base Worker I (HBW I), you will undergo comprehensive paid training to perform the following critical job duties:
    • Conduct interviews with applicants to collect financial and personal details for determining eligibility in public assistance programs.
    • Analyze information from various sources to input data into an eligibility system.
    • Calculate and approve benefits based on eligibility assessments.
    • Execute tasks in compliance with state and federal regulations, established guidelines, and timelines.
    • Undertake any additional assignments as delegated.
    Knowledge Skills Abilities:
    • Utilize investigative methods to gather, assess, and interpret applicant-provided data.
    • Interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.
    • Perform basic mathematical operations.
    • Efficiently manage time by prioritizing tasks based on deadlines.
    • Cultivate and sustain productive professional relationships.
    • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
    • Competently operate computers for data entry and utilize essential office software like Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Adhere to both written and verbal directives.
