Your Role: Enhancing Construction Operations

As a Dozer Operator at Emery Sapp & Sons, you will operate bulldozers safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget. Your role as a key member of our team involves close collaboration with crew members and subcontractors to maintain the highest level of quality in our projects.

Responsibilities

• Dozer Operation: Operate bulldozers to move materials, earth, and heavy objects according to project requirements.
• Safety and Quality: Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain dozers and perform basic repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate with crew members and subcontractors to coordinate work schedules and ensure project completion within budget and timeline constraints.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to facilitate effective project execution.
• Training: Provide on-the-job training to new operators as needed to support team development.
• Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the successful completion of construction projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating bulldozers in a construction setting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
