- Work with the Crisis Intervention Specialist, CCBHC Director, Residential Services Director, Detox Nurse Supervisor, and Chief Clinical and Medical Officers, and other clinical staff and medical staff to provide crisis support services to clients who are referred to the CCC for crisis intervention.
- Participate in On-Call for 24/7 CCC service provision.
- Work with the treatment team to promote and crisis stabilization and referrals to services.
- Direct care of clients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
- Performs other duties in accordance with SFRC policies and procedures
- Assists with admission and orientation of new clients admitted to the CCC
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal law, the SFRC code of ethics, and SFRC policies and procedures
- Completes admission, screening and assessment, and referral documentation consistent with CCC service delivery.
- Provides coordination, availability, and full participation in all aspects of any programmatic review, survey, site visits, and/or program evaluation
- Perform and/or coordinate other special assignments and tasks as required by the treatment team and project staff.
- Receive training in AED, BLS, Mental Health First Aid, and crisis services.
- Provide basic life support if necessary
- Maintains professionalism with clients at all times and must never have personal relationships with any clients
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Current EMT certification/license to work in New Mexico
- Endorsement by New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health (IMH-E) - Category I or above - preferred
- Must be computer literate in order to effectively maintain compliance with licensing and certification standards and requirements for use of computerized client records & data systems
- Must have and maintain a valid NM Driver's License. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.
- Healthcare CPR and First Aid certification.
- Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred. (English/Navajo)

Crisis Emergency Technician (EMT) Benefits:
The Crisis Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for providing structure and support in the Crisis Calming Center (CCC) for individuals served by the Recovery Center. Under the direction of the Crisis Intervention Specialist and in close coordination with the CCBHC Director, Residential Services Director, and Chief Clinical and Medical Officers, the Crisis Support Worker provides a wide range of interventions and support techniques to ensure smooth operations and a supportive environment for clients in being served by the CCC. Duties include crisis intervention, program admission, screenings and evaluation, and referrals to behavioral health and medical services.
