As a Security Officer - Part Time Days in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while delivering professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.

Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing traffic flow for cars, trailers, and delivery vehicles.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, dispatching notifications per post orders, and documenting actions taken.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, and/or identify hazards, open doors, and unusual conditions.

Monitor cameras and access control systems, complete shift reports and incident reports, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Loss Prevention - preferred.

Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.

X‐Ray Screening Experience - preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
