Job Summary
The School of Business and Management at SUNY Brockport invites applications for a tenure-track Instructor position in the Department of Accounting Economics Finance beginning August 2026.We are seeking a candidate to teach courses in both Accounting and Finance.
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching 12 credit hours per semester (24 credits total per year); advising students; maintaining an active scholarly research agenda; and contributing service to the department college university community
- Teaching (70%) Expected course load with varying days times modality Teaches both graduate undergraduate courses in accounting finance Participates assessment continuous improvement initiatives Engages experiential hands-on education Works effectively with diverse student body Maintains appropriate student advising load
- Service (20-25%) Engages enrollment retention initiatives Regularly attends University events Actively participates service department college university community profession
- Scholarly Activity (5-10%) Engages scholarly activity produce high quality publications Maintains active research agenda lead scholarly publications journals peer editorially reviewed recognized respective discipline credible
