- Answer, direct, and prioritize telephone calls and messages to correct clinic or department
- Triage calls according to priority and urgency, transferring calls as necessary
- Document all conversations, demographics to Electronic Medical Record timely and accurately
- Obtain complete and accurate clinical, demographic and financial information during the scheduling process
- Follow guidelines for special requests/Stat/schedule modification procedures and coordinate communications with clinical areas to accommodate the customers requests.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- At least one (1) year experience in a medical field, preferred
- At least one (1) year experience in a call center or high volume call position, preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, preferred
- Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
- May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
