    What is this career opportunity?

    The State Human Resources Division is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. This position supports agency human resources staff by recommending and deploying forward-looking, enterprise-wide solutions associated with, but not limited to: talent management, performance and development, classification and compensation, recruitment and selection methodologies, and labor relations. As a member of the HR Programs and Policy Bureau, this individual builds and maintains effective working partnerships with the State's human resources community; provides guidance on state and federal policies and regulations and works closely with human resources information systems staff to support system initiatives.

    What are we looking for?

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or another related field.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources specialist or generalist role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, procedures, and best practices for talent recruitment and selection, training, compensation and benefits, employment law, and HR information systems.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by case basis.

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and discretion and maintain confidentiality.
