    POSITION TITLE:
    Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) for Rehab/Assisted Living/Nursing Home Settings in Montgomery County, MD


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    SYNERGY HomeCare is dedicated to providing services to our clients – allowing them to lead fuller lives and to elevate their confidence knowing they have a certified nursing assistant by their side. Our location services Montgomery County, Maryland. As we continue to grow, we want to hire individuals who wholeheartedly engage and energize our clients.


    The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) provides patient care to an assigned group of clients. These clients are located in rehabilitation centers, assisted livings, and nursing homes. The GNA provides personal care and assists in activities of daily living and hygiene – in accordance with each individual's care plan. Prior to the start of each shift, the GNA will be assigned a group of clients (potentially up to 12 clients) for whom the GNA will be responsible for assisting during the shift. Prior to the end of each shift, the GNA will enter notes regarding the activities performed for each client in the facility's system, such as PointClickCare (PCC).


    As a W-2 employee of SYNERGY HomeCare, the GNA will remain within the guidelines of our non-skilled (RSA Level 1) license. Guidance for this will be given to each GNA, but our office is open 24/7 to answer questions. Even though the GNA is working in the field, we want each to realize that they are not alone and have a team working behind the scenes.



    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in a facility setting within a period of two (2) years.

    • GNA Certificate in the State of MD

    • Proficient in the English Language

    • Good verbal and written skills

    • Current First Aid and CPR

    • PPD/C chest X-ray (within the past 12 months)

    • Driver's license preferred

    • Able to stand, bend, stretch, walk, pull, push, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds


    SHIFTS/SETTING:


    These will vary depending on week and availability.


    · Settings will be mostly rehabilitation centers, assisted livings, and nursing homes.
