Description
This role involves ensuring a balance between supply and demand for production needs while keeping inventory flow consistent and efficient. Duties and Responsibilities:- Guarantee material availability to meet daily production requirements and reach set objectives.
- Assess daily material status and communicate any shortages during regular customer meetings.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to oversee order planning and completion.
- Address material shortages through appropriate escalation procedures.
- Verify and input unexpected component demands.
- Handle material requirement adjustments and dispositions related to engineering change notifications and product end-of-life processes.
- Conduct monthly reorder point sizing activities.
- Perform weekly analysis of internal excess and obsolete items, including identifying root causes and devising action plans.
- Conduct quarterly review of external excess and obsolete items.
- Manage price purchase variances and adhere to the SUK process.
- Carry out any other assigned tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP/Oracle is desirable.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain is a must, while a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Ideally 0-2 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous contract manufacturing exposure is beneficial.
