    Objective of the Job:
    Provide support to all aspects of operations with respect to process improvements, quality initiatives, trials both internal and external. Ensure the processing parameters that are defined are consistent and being followed. Interact with sales and quality group to assist with product development.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1) Oversight of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements; follow BRS directives and comply with regulatory requirements within scope of responsibility.
    2) Monitor and evaluate caster performance, to include production, down time, cost, and quality key performance indicators; Identify appropriate counter measures in case of non-achievement of KPI's.
    3) Optimize Caster productivity, capacity, energy, and consumption by monitoring industry best practices for caster processes.
    4) Collaborate with Technology team to perform product trials; Provide process expertise to technology team for improvement project implementation.
    5) Interface and communicate with maintenance team members and other members of steel making facility, to include EAF, LMF, RH, and Refractory.
    6) Write and update work instructions for caster operations.
    7) Take ownership to seek and correct issues generating non-prime material.
    8) Lead and support continuous improvement activities.
    9) Ensure the caster complies with environmental and safety regulations.
    10) Demonstrate and promote a company's Purpose and Values: Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability.
    11) Lead/participate in incident root cause analysis and corrective actions for failures, to include safety incidents, environmental deviations, quality deviations and production losses.
    Qualifications:
    1) Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
    2) Computer literate with ability to learn and adapt to new electronic data systems.
    3) Proficient with MS Office suite including MS Word and Excel.
    4) Essential data entry skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret detailed information.
    5) Strong writing skills with ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
    6) Ability to work independently with effective organizational and time management skills.
    7) Minimum five years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
    8) Previous related supervisory experience preferred.
    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
    This position requires the ability to work in the mill, which could typically involve extreme environments from hot to cold. This position can require long hours, weekend, and holiday coverage to support routine responsibilities and travel
