I am working with a chemical manufacturing company recruiting for aProcurement Manager . This position will be located near Jackson, Mississippi.
Below is an overview:
Procurement Manager
– Reporting to the Director of procurement, this position will be responsible for managing a 100M spend covering directs and indirects, and the warehouse for the company. This position will also manage up to three employees. This position is on-site 5 days a week.
Promote Strategic and Operational Guidance.
Lead initiatives for improvement and change.
Define category procurement strategies
Drive Total Cost of Ownership
Source new vendors and maintain relationships
The ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree is required
Experience in a strategic sourcing role with a manufacturing company
Strong Leadership Skills
