    Responsibilities


    To diagnose and treat patients of all groups, the MRI technologist must accurately perform all aspects of MR imaging in accordance with established procedures and policies, follow all regulatory guidelines, and adhere to MRI safety precautions.

    The technologist also upholds professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in the expectations of the department and professional organizations.

    The technologist contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processing images, ensuring correct images, accurate billing, and file documentation, and entering exam-related data into the department computer system.

    When not performing imaging-related tasks, the technologist undertakes other tasks to support clinical team members.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) required.

    Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and remain current.

    Must be a graduate of a JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program or MRI course.

    At least 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist Preferred.

    Proficient computer skills.
