- Be responsible for engagement and advancement of systems and processes supporting the product and assets technology and safety (documentation and procedures management, process safety start-up reviews or PSSRs, Management of Change processes, auditing, and Process Hazards Analyses or PHAs, etc.)
- Assist in STO (Safe to Operate) assessment and revision support, including quarterly audits
- Provide support for external engineering resources, including field walk downs
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
- Be located within daily driving distance of Orange, TX

Position Summary & Duties:
The Mechanical Engineer position is a direct-hire position working for HGA at a client specialty chemical facility in Orange, TX.

In this role, you will:
Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process and support the facility project implementation plan by:
o Providing technical expertise toward project scope development and design
o Networking with technical peers, operations, maintenance, vendors and contractors, and other critical project resources and stakeholders
o Monitoring and managing project safety, cost, and time
o Documenting the delivered changes
To be qualified, you must:

o Project Management (cost and/or minor/major capital projects)
o Management-of-Change (MOC)
o Process Safety Management practices
o SAP
