Gridiron IT is seeking a Cloud Developer local to Washington, DC with an active TS clearance.

Continuously evaluates available services and makes recommendations to the government on strategies for implementation

Responsibilities include:

Strategies for failure/recovery
Cost optimization
Benefit analysis of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-premises services

Responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS).

Analyzing and recommending what applications, services can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment.
Experience architecting and migrating on-prem data and services.
Continue to maintain and engineer solution for cloud or on-premises development and production platforms ensuring:
o Scalability
o Failover/ Recovery
o Disaster Recovery Planning
o Monitoring
o Security
o Performance

Minimum Years of Experience:

8 years of experience developing comprehensive and innovative technical solutions with at least 1 year experience with 1 of the 3 major cloud service providers (Amazon, Microsoft, or Google).

Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform. Associate level certification is a substititue for 2 years experience.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

AWS:
EC2, VPC, LAMP (Apache), Beanstalk, IAM, Route53, Autoscaling, Load Balancer, Cloud formation, RDS, AMIs, S3, Cloudwatch.

Automation tools:
Ansible, Git, Dockers, Jenkins

Database management:
Oracle, Sql Server Database setup, install and Patch

Windows:
hardware, software and patching
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to learn the new applications and workflow quickly
Experience working in the client space and working directly with clients

Clearance:
TS and SCI eligible
