    Summary of Responsibilities

    Responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food in a designated area during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality standards and exceptional guest service. Expected to abide by the Core Values and Mission Statement of the Kalispel Golf & Country Club (KGCC) and Tribal Counsel.

    Key Duties and Tasks

    • Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians, Washington State Regulations, and KGCC Policies and Procedures.
    • Proficient in various cooking techniques.
    • Follow recipes accurately and maintain control procedures.
    • Prepare and present food according to specifications.
    • Assist Chef in creating specialty dishes.
    • Maintain food quality through daily product rotation.
    • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the FDA.
    • Conduct quality control checks to uphold health and sanitation standards.
    • Train and collaborate with the Prep / Cook Team.
    • Continuously assess kitchen operations for enhancements.
    • Execute additional tasks as assigned by Chef and F&B Manager.
    • Flexible to accommodate changes in work hours as business demands.
    • Possible assignment as lead cook during a shift with limited Chef responsibilities.
    • Participate as a panelist in Internal Review Hearings.
    • Other duties as directed by management.

    Education

    • Preferred: High School diploma or GED.
    • Preferred: Culinary Arts/Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school.

    Experience

    Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

    Skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft programs and other computer software.
    • Experience in diverse cooking styles and high-volume settings.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems under pressure.
    • Familiarity with food-related mathematical concepts.
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
    • Positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
    • Employment conditional upon successful background check.

    Additional Requirements

    • Obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit.
    • Hold a valid health card or equivalent certification.
    • Hepatitis A vaccination.
    • Provide and uphold a valid ServSafe Certificate upon hiring, with a grace period of up to six months to obtain.
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80+ pounds.
    • Receive detailed information through oral communication and make precise distinctions in sound.
    • Accurately convey important instructions verbally and quickly.
    • Work with fingers, performing repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
    • Engage in tasks that involve walking, standing, sitting, and climbing stairs or ramps.
    • Occasional stooping and crouching may be necessary.
    • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.

    Work Environment

    Employees may encounter tobacco smoke, mechanical parts, and airborne particles in the work environment. The workspace offers protection from weather conditions but may not regulate temperature variations. Noise levels are typically moderate.
