    Posting Summary

    Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator Supervisor for the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
    Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Manages the coordination and administration of research projects.
  • Supervises and promotes professional development among members of the research team, provide strategic support and expertise in research agenda and project planning and development, liaise with all personnel essential to research execution and distribution, and represent CAWP in research collaborations.
  • Provides research support as needed.
  • All members are asked to participate in Institute-wide and/or cross team projects

  • Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in project management and coordination, especially in the research area.
  • Experience in personnel management and supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Must have strong ability to lead and supervise teams.
  • Must be reliable, well-organized, and efficient.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Must be comfortable working for an organization that is political, yet non-partisan and an organization that straddles the worlds of politics and academia.
  • Familiarity with U.S. politics.
  • Familiarity with gender and/or racial analysis.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with political practitioners.
  • Experience in conducting research.
  • Five years relevant experience.
  • Equipment Utilized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Eagleton offices are located within a historic building with no elevator. The duties of this position regularly involve navigating stairs numerous times a day.
