    Job Title

    Senior Mechanical Engineer

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at {company}.

    The ideal candidate will have (10-15) plus years of experience in building and facility/site mechanical HVAC and building plumbing consulting engineering.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with a team of engineers and architects to create mechanical and plumbing systems for buildings.
    • Develop and implement design solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and plumbing designs for VA Medical Centers throughout the United States.
    • Collaborate with clients, including VA Medical Centers, to provide expert guidance and leadership on project confidence and design solutions.
    • Review and evaluate submittals, shop drawings, and other documents to ensure conformance with contract documents and performance specifications.
    • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specification manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
    • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • PE license
    • Project Management Experience
    • Interfacing with clients (VA Medical Centers)
    • Cooling and heating systems for VA Medical Centers
    • Plumbing Design for VA Medical Centers
    • AutoCAD
    • Windows software

    Additional Skills:

    • Strong work ethic
    • Responsible

    Requirements:

    • Ability to travel to other states as needed for site investigations and construction observations.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in editing federal healthcare specifications.
