Job Summary: A Cannabis Dry Trim Lead plays a crucial role in the cannabis industry. They are responsibThe Cannabis Dry Trim Lead is responsible for managing a team of Trim Techs. They ensure that the trimming is done efficiently and to the highest quality standards, maintaining the integrity of the product while maximizing yields. This role requires expertise in cannabis trimming techniques and leadership skills to supervise a team of trimmers.

Job Description:

• Lead a team of dry trimmers, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Assign tasks, set production targets, and ensure team members meet quality and productivity standards.
• Daily check ins with trimmers to access quality or concerns
• Ensure that each trimmed product meets quality standards, including appearance, aroma, and potency.
• Report quality concerns to manager.
• Weigh and accurately record trimmed cannabis products.
• Record weights in Trim Tracker Excel.
• Maintain trimmed products with visible labels and weights at all times.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Regularly clean and maintain trimming equipment to ensure optimal performance (team effort).
• Report any equipment issues or malfunctions for timely repair or replacement. Note: our team hand trims the cannabis but may use other equipment such as lighting and seating.

Compliance and Regulation:

• Stay informed about local and state regulations related to cannabis cultivation and processing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, including tracking and labeling requirements.

Safety and Sanitation:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Sanitize equipment on the necessary basis.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide training to team members on safe trimming practices.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand, sit, kneel/bend or make other necessary physical movements for extended periods of time to get the job done.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Previous leadership experience in a production based role (cannabis preferred)
• Strong knowledge of cannabis anatomy, and characteristics.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local and state cannabis regulations.

Starting Wage: $18/hr. The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits, PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days. Starting wages are determined by several factors including experience. $500 sign on bonus is based on performance and attendance and paid after 90 days.
