InterMetro Industries is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for our Procurement Department located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. We are seeking someone who enjoys acquiring new skills, managing multiple responsibilities in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

The major responsibility of a Strategic Sourcing Specialist is to support the organization's objectives for value-driven supplier partnerships and focus on risk management, reliability, and competitive pricing. A major focus will be to support our commodity management team and utilize our online negotiating tools to develop Reverse Auction events to secure competitive pricing and sourcing terms.

A Strategic Sourcing Specialist's objective will include participating in supplier negotiations and contract preparation using structured processes. A Strategic Sourcing Specialist will support vendor partnerships and monitor performance using established KPI's, goals, and scorecards. Reviews market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations.

Primary Responsibilities :

Evaluating procurement metrics by measuring supplier performance.
Identifying sourcing projects, timelines, and costs.
Establishing effective communication channels with suppliers.
Negotiating contracts with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new suppliers.
Establishing risk management plans relating to strategic sourcing.
Projecting industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures.
Reporting commodity market data.
Conduct cost analysis as needed for key commodities sourced.
Execution of Metro's online bidding software platform.

Additional Responsibilities

Monthly Supplier Scorecards – Evaluating On-Time Delivery for applicable suppliers.
Conduct Supplier Research and Develop Overview Reports
Forecasting Commodity Market Trends
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, a focus in Finance and Business is highly preferred
Advanced MS Excel and Access capabilities
Exceptional analytical skills in business or manufacturing environment
Excellent mathematical, communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
Must possess the ability to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to make decisions using sound reasoning ability.

Advanced knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of engineering drafting on CAD Systems, especially MicroStation's InRoads & OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient skills using MircoStation's InRoads & OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of mathematics as applied to surveying principles in the field of assignments
Advanced knowledge of software systems used to support CAD operation
Advanced knowledge of electronic and CAD supporting computer hardware
Advanced skill in drafting survey documents of more than ordinary complexity using CAD System
Ability to prepare complex schematic drawings from rough sketches or oral instructions
Ability to do design work in the field of assignment
Ability to meet deadlines, possess good organizational and follow up skills, be detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of engineering drafting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree in Engineering Technology and supplemental advanced course work in survey drafting plus minimum 10 Years in drafting experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation's InRoads & OpenRoads.
