- Obtain and handle medical records by communicating and coordinating with patients, physician offices, hospitals, and other medical organizations
- Coordinate patient referrals to designated clinical programs and services ensuring timely and accurate appointments
- Register and schedule patients efficiently and effectively
- Provide clerical and administrative support to team members
- Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated verbal and written customer relations skills
- Collaborative and cooperative team player
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, and organizational skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality customer service
- Experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of scheduling or healthcare record collection and registration systems
- Clinical background in assigned area
- Associates degree in business, healthcare, or related field
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office, data entry, and electronic health records programs such as EPIC
- Currently licensed medical assistant or certified nursing assistant
