Job Description

A financial institution is seeking an Accounting Specialist to maintain payroll in compliance with company policy and government regulations and maintains, balances, and posts incoming ACH transactions.This is a first shift opportunity.

Job Requirements:

Coordinate and maintain all ACH/EFT activities
Review payroll reporting, adjustments, deductions, withholdings, new hire and termination information
Perform bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations, as well as other general bookkeeping duties
Maintain pension plans, health care coverage, disability, and other benefit plans
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

Must have a two year college degree or complete a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or an in-house training or apprenticeship program
Must have 2 to 5 years of similar or related experience
Must have knowledge of bookkeeping principles, procedures, and accounting reporting and procedures
Must have a strong knowledge of NACHA rules and regulations
Must be proficient with accounting software, Word, and Excel
Must be able to pay attention to detail and have strong organizational skills
Courtesy, tact, trust, and diplomacy are required
Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality
