Position Summary:
The receptionist is responsible for supporting office operations and works independently and interdependently with other office staff to provide efficient, cost effective, quality patient care.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Promote a healthy work environmentSchedule appointments on provider schedulesReview schedules based on provider preference lists and update appropriatelyCollaborate and communicate regularly with management regarding goals, needs/concernsPre-registrationReviewing revenue reports to ensure charges are billed appropriatelyCollect co pay/balances due for each patientChecking in patients for appointmentsChecking out patients for appointmentsPhone support - Incoming and outgoing phone callsScanning and faxing documentationConfirmation phone calls
General Performance Criteria:

Obtains necessary information while remaining courteous about interruptions caused by other calls or events, models calmness.· Customer service orientated.· Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure:
High school graduate or equivalent, business school or formal secretarial training a plus. One to two years' experience preferred.
Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
Special Equipment, Skills, or Other Requirements:
Multi-line telephones, PC and appropriate software knowledge, knowledge of office equipment and supplies. A solid understanding of service-related terminology. Good communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal skills required. Customer service orientated.
Work Environment and Hazards:
Office setting - exposure Class I or II; service specific.
Remote option may be available.

Light work - standing, walking, sitting, and lifting

$17.75-$23.60Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
