    Overview:

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Senior Structural Engineer | On-call

    VHB is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Structures group. In this position, you would serve in a lead role in the planning, analysis, and design of a diverse portfolio of structural projects across New England.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages, develops, organizes, and implements structural planning, analysis, preliminary and final design document preparation.
    • Task management
    • Reviews plans, specifications, reports, and analyses to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in structural engineering
    • Demonstrated excellence in technical writing.
    • Team oriented with strong capability to work independently.
    • Robust technical and critical thinking skills
    • Detail oriented and quality focused
    • Strong project management skills
    • Motivated to lead and mentor others
    • Knowledge of structural engineering software
    • AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation v8, Revit, OpenRoads, OpenBridge and/or Connect experience is a strong plus

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of professional experience in structural bridge and building design, construction phasing, and complex projects
    • BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years of experience can be substituted for a master's degree)
    • PE licensure expected

    ****This role could be performed by a fully remote engineer who resides within the MA/RI region and could travel to client sites when needed****
