    Travel Contract - Nuclear Medicine Technologist Number of positions: 1 Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks
    Start Date: 08/18/2023 Hourly pay: $58.51 OT: 1.5

    Weekly Pay:
    $2,194 JOB DESCRIPTION Operating imaging equipment and ensuring the safety of all medical staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure. The position is Monday-Friday. The shift will be from and/or No weekends or On-Call.


    Department:

    Nuclear Medicine Shift timings: 07:30 - 16:00 Roles & Responsibilities Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.

    Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately. Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

    Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

    Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.

    QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

    The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills.

    Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care The nuclear medicine technologist must be certified as an ARRT(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) with Nuclear Medicine and/or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board).

    Required a minimum of two years of experience.

    Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/Nuclear Medicine program Requirements:

    Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

    A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

    Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
