    Mercy Health Saint Mary's Position Summary:

    The MRI Technologist performs MRI examinations according to established procedures and guidelines. Performs and records the results of Quality Assurance and Quality control procedures in accordance with Federal, State, and accreditation governing bodies.

    What the MRI Technologist will Need:

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, or board eligible within 6 months of hire.
    • Must be ARRT(MR) certified within 2 years of hire.
    • Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
    • Must maintain 24 continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry.
    • Preferred ARRT certification in MRI. Related Experience
    • Minimum Two years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
    • Preferred One year of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist.

    What The MRI Technologist will do:

    • Performs a wide variety of examinations in accordance with department, State, Federal, and accreditation governing bodies, which results in the production of high quality diagnostic MRI scans.
    • Properly positions patients.
    • Uses MRI equipment in a safe and proper manner.
    • Administers specific MRI contrast and materials as directed by the Radiologist or other physician, in accordance with established guidelines.
    • Assists Radiologist in performing routine and/or special procedures
