    Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Gastroenterology in Petoskey, MI


    Are you a dedicated Gastroenterologist seeking a flexible, rewarding opportunity? We are looking for a skilled Locum Physician to provide vital gastroenterology services at McLaren Northern.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Perform outpatient and inpatient scopes, averaging 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient procedures daily.
    Conduct endoscopies, including ERCP procedures (required).
    Provide consults and support within clinic hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    Participate in 24-hour weekend call coverage (no weekday night call).
    Collaborate with a dedicated team of 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers.
    Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
    Support onsite laboratory and X-ray services to enhance patient care.


    Required Skills:
    Medical degree with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
    Valid medical license for the state of Michigan.
    Proven experience in performing ERCP procedures.
    Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
    Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience working in a hospital and clinic setting.
    Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
    Prior travel or locum experience in diverse healthcare environments.


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
    Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in gastroenterology.
    Proven proficiency in ERCP and other advanced endoscopic techniques.


    Other Requirements:
    Availability for scheduled shifts during open dates listed.
    Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols.
    Coverage of 24-hour weekend call; 4 hours are provided gratis.
    Travel and licensure reimbursements available where applicable, in accordance with company policies.
