The Parent Partner/Peer Specialist provides support and resources to parents/caregivers to promote a successful home placement. They engage , inspire and facilitate meaningful conversations with clients served that assist the person to explore create and meet their goals. + JOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: Listen to and assess the parents' needs and provide relevant interventions resources and support. Serve as support person advocate for parents during Children Family Team meetings Ensure sensitivity to family culture values beliefs operate from family-centered strength-based perspective Maintain proficient accurate documentation adhering program contract standards Work coordination with client's multidisciplinary team including county representatives schools etc in development execution treatment plan Participate all required meetings Develop utilize knowledge community resources serve children their families Perform other related duties required assigned KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES: Must be proficient Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Demonstrate knowledge crisis management skills perform such skills necessary Ability remain organized manage multiple tasks once Able establish maintain appropriate rapport parents/caregivers Knowledge parenting techniques child development Child Welfare system Able work effectively member multidisciplinary team Tier II High school diploma/GED +2 years related work experience AA Degree Tier III High school diploma/GED +4 years related experience AA Degree 2 years related work experience Certified Peer Specialist Tier IV High school diploma or GED +6 years related experience AA Degree 4 years related experience Certified Peer Specialist 2 years of experience Job summary
