Summary: Lead the design of architectural metal products using advanced engineering principles and expert-level SolidWorks skills, focusing on sheet-metal design and fabrication processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to design architectural metal shapes in sheet metal.
• Create and modify shop drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Prepare and modify material take-offs and release through the manufacturing system.
• Provide technical design support for metal ceilings to architectural and sales representatives.
• Guide and share knowledge with other engineers within the team.
• Review and quality-check the work of other engineers involved in the design process.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of design experience in a relevant field.
• Expertise in SolidWorks, specifically in sheet-metal design.
• Experience working in a fabrication shop.
• Proficient in creating Bills of Material.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 2D/3D software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and details.
• Understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
• Proficient in using MS Office software, including Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in 3D modeling, proficient with SolidWorks 2016, AutoCAD 2016, or Rhino 5.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in architectural design.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
