    About the Role

    The Home Visitor provides comprehensive, long-term home-visiting services within a strength-based, family-centered model to high-risk first-time parents and families with young children, birth through 5 years of age.

    This role involves assessing infant/child and family needs, helping families establish plans to reach family and child development goals, assisting families to expand their support systems, providing parenting support, and facilitating groups.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Meet regularly with families with young children in their homes to complete assessments, develop goals, and provide services aligned with the strengths and needs of the child and family.

    • Provide observations of parent-child interactions, including assessing for effective communication and empathic responses, and engage parents in reflective dialogue on the developing parent-child relationship.

    • Assist parents in forming community connections aligned with service goals, including referral and linkage with providers of early intervention, mental health, health care, and other supportive services.

    • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with key community providers.

    Candidate Qualifications

    • An Associates Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a closely related field is required; a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a closely related field is preferred.

    • One year of experience working with families with children under the age of 5 is required.

    • Able to communicate effectively in both writing and verbally, with bilingual skills in English/Spanish being a requirement.

    • A valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle are necessary for attending in-person family visits and meetings.

    Job Details

    • Hourly compensation ranges between $20.19-$23.24 per hour, with offers commensurate with experience and additional compensation for bilingual candidates.

    • Medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, and 401(k) with match are offered as benefits.

    • This is a hybrid role with remote/in-office work, serving families in multiple counties, with flexibility required for evening family visits and special projects.

    • A student loan forgiveness program is available through Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
