- Process and route for approval invoices, requisitions, and payment requests.
- Prepare budget transfers, financial journal entries, and reports as needed.
- Monitor funding and reporting for all assigned grants and/or projects.
- Utilize the County and District financial and project applications to monitor project budgets and payments
- Sort, scan, and file department or project documents and correspondence.
- Assist with preparation for periodic grant audits performed by the State and other granting agencies.
- Assist with the preparation and submittal of revenue certification and interest allocation.
- Respond and route to the right personnel routine internal and external requests.
- Perform other duties that may be added or changed as the course and scope of the job directs.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in an administrative accounting support role or a similar field
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS, Access etc.).
- Basic understanding of financial statements and reporting including a working knowledge of project accounting.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and/or assignments.
- Ability to be self- motivated. A self-starter.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Associate degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or university (preferred)
