    Description

    The Building Automation Systems Specialist is responsible for handling the start-up and commissioning of BAS and related equipment in new construction and renovation projects, and existing customer facilities. They play a crucial role in ensuring system databases and programming are in line with project requirements and operational sequences. Additionally, they work on configuring building infrastructure networks to support smart building technologies integration.

    Responsibilities:

    • Verify system databases and programming to match project scope and operational sequences
    • Configure building infrastructure networks for smart technologies integration
    • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational inconsistencies
    • Set up and configure network devices, workstations, and user interfaces
    • Commission network performance effectively
    • Conduct operational testing, verification, and generate operation reports
    • Participate in final inspections and testing alongside commissioning authorities
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide training on system operations
    • Prepare and submit reports, and deliver system modifications for engineering documentation

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Systems, Facilities Management, Networking, or IT with at least 2 years in BAS-related computer programming
    • Proficiency in integrating low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols like BACNet, LON, Modbus, KNX, XML, etc
    • Certification in Siemens programming, ABB programming, Niagara N4/AX, Tridium, or other relevant automation vendor certification
    • Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent experience is a plus
