Job Summary:
Responsible for programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine, maintaining equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed part records.
You will be responsible for:
Strictly follow safety policies, procedures, rules and safe work methods, along with making safety suggestions to support continuous improvements in safetyUnderstand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functionPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesPrepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specificationsSet machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of partsSupervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce better resultsInspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionalityAdvise the maintenance department or supervisor of any machine issues, crashes, or needed repairs.
Independently operate CNC equipment and observe operations with focused attention.Perform tool wear offsets or change inserts to meet tolerance requirementsDo ProgrammingRegular and reliable attendanceWorking cooperatively with others to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targetsContribute to continuous improvement cultureOther duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications:
Detail oriented and an effective time managerIndividual shall possess average written and oral communication skillsComputer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and (software)
A keen eye for detail and results-driven approachAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsSkill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to perform basic mathematical computations including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry & trigonometry to practical situationsAbility to meet production goals for quality and quantityComplete work orders accuratelyForklift certificationClear, effective communicationWorking Conditions:
