    Job description:

    Orange County based General Contractor seeking an experienced Carpenter for mid to high-end residential projects.

    Suitable candidates must possess significant experience in all trades. This position also requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and willingness to adapt to changes immediately.

    We are looking for an exemplary carpenter to join our team. Ideal candidate is an experienced craftsmen who takes pride in their work and looking to go above and beyond all expectations. Applicants must be skilled in all trades able to efficiently produce extremely high-quality work. Must take initiative, be self-motivated and able to work independently, with ownership of your actions.

    Trade Knowledge Necessary:

    Blueprint reading- understanding, following and reading of plans. Identify changes that need to be made by the architect or engineer.

    Concrete- layout, digging/excavating, rebar, undermining and concrete work.

    Rough carpentry- Framing, Window/Door installation, Trim/Siding layout and installation.

    Finish carpentry- Base/case/crown installation, paneling installation, door and window installation, paneling/wainscoting layout and installation, foe beams, shower doors, mirrors knobs/ handles.

    Electrical- wire a house start to finish. Layout setting boxes and installation can lights/ plugs /switches.

    Plumbing- run drain/vent/supply lines, install all rough and finish valves including shower valves, faucets, tubs and any other valves.

    Insulation- installation.

    Drywall- hanging and taping

    Stucco- waterproofing and taping.

    Cabinetry- Layout building and installation per plans.

    Responsibilities

    Assist a crew and lead multiple helpers while on job

    Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

    Maintain positive professional relationships with all parties involved with the project.

    Cooperation with schedules, team members, vendors, and subcontractors.

    Ensure all work is installed per plans, specs, and client expectations.

    Perform specialty trade work and general labor to ensure overall project success.

    Thoroughly adhering quality control standards for every project.

    Requirements

    5+ years experience as a residential carpenter/finish carpenter.

    Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record.

    Must have tools.

    Must be detail-oriented and organized.

    Must provide 3 professional references.

    Must be open to assisting other trades if required.

    Testing of skills may be required prior to hiring.
