Job Description

- We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team
What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional pulmonary care for patients of all ages, including critical, noncritical, and chronically ill adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
- Work under the guidance of a physician with minimal supervision to conduct patient assessments and develop effective respiratory care plans.
- Perform vital respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital, showcasing your expertise in:
- Comprehensive airway management
- Administering aerosolized medications
- Ventilator setup and operation
- Oral hygiene practices
- Maintenance of airway support devices (BiPAP and CPAP)
- Oxygen delivery systems and therapeutic monitoring
- Analyzing chest films and blood gases
- EKG interpretation
- Detailed documentation of patient care services
- Organizing and stocking equipment and supplies
- Participating in CAP and JC surveys
- Take on leadership roles as a Shift Leader or Team Leader when needed.
- Enhance your practice with advanced skills like:
- Performing Pulmonary Function Tests
- Assisting in bronchoscopy
- Monitoring hemodynamics
- Analyzing waveforms
- Conducting nocturnal SpO2 evaluations (Desaturation Studies)
- Performing Polysomnography
- Fulfilling transport duties
Qualifications:
- Education/Skills: RT or RCP License in the state of TX required
- Experience: 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Must hold and maintain the following certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC
- ACLS (AHA only)
Work Schedule:
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Employment Type: Full Time
